Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Civils Project Manager to lead civil engineering works across Ireland's renewable energy projects. You will manage civils from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safety, programme adherence, budget control and high-quality outcomes.

You will coordinate subcontractors, site teams, consultants and suppliers, monitor progress, manage costs and risks, and support handover and close-out on major Solar PV and BESS projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience managing civil/infra projects.
• Strong experience with construction programme management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead civils works from pre-construction through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, consultants and suppliers.
• Monitor programmes, progress and project controls; resolve issues.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, variations and change control.
• Review subcontractor applications, RAMS and construction methodologies.

About Your New Job

As Civils Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering works across multiple renewable energy projects in Ireland.

You will:

• Manage civils works from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, consultants and suppliers, ensuring effective project delivery.
• Monitor construction programmes, progress and project controls, identifying and resolving issues to keep projects on track.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, variations and change control.
• Review subcontractor applications, RAMS and construction methodologies.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Lead and attend project progress meetings, acting as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Support project handover, commissioning and close-out activities.

What Skills You Need

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in construction programme management, subcontractor management and project controls.
• Experience within renewable energy, utilities or power infrastructure would be highly desirable.
• Knowledge of NEC4, FIDIC or EPC contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness, including experience with variations, costs and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, quality and risk management.
• Temporary Works Coordinator training would be advantageous.
• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous.
• A full clean driving licence and the ability to travel to project sites across Ireland.
