Job summary

ROA Talent is seeking a Project Director to oversee a portfolio of Nordic data centre projects from Ireland with weekly travel. This senior, client-facing role requires leadership across multiple sites and strong commercial oversight to ensure safety, quality and delivery success.

You will lead preconstruction and procurement activities, manage senior client relationships and drive project performance across programme and financial metrics. EU passport is required for travel to the Nordics.

We are working with an established international construction specialist seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee a portfolio of data centre projects across the Nordic region.

This is a senior, client-facing position with responsibility for overseeing 2–4 projects concurrently, ranging in value from €5m to €50m.

The Opportunity

Rather than being focused on the day-to-day delivery of one site, this role involves taking broader responsibility for multiple projects, managing senior client relationships and ensuring successful delivery across programme, commercial performance, quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of 2–4 construction projects across the Nordic region.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout project delivery.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring programme, commercial and SHEQ objectives are achieved.
• Take ownership of preconstruction activities, including tender strategy, procurement planning and risk management.
• Monitor project financial performance, contractual obligations and commercial reporting.
• Support project teams in resolving delivery challenges and managing key stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee project completion, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support future project opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' experience within the construction industry, with significant experience in senior project delivery or leadership positions.
• Proven track record delivering large or technically complex construction projects.
• Experience within data centres, mission-critical environments, cleanrooms or specialist technical fit-out would be particularly relevant.
• Strong commercial understanding, including contract management, cost reporting and project financial performance.
• Experience managing multiple project teams, subcontractors and senior client stakeholders.
• A relevant construction or engineering qualification.
• Comfortable operating in a client-facing leadership role across multiple projects.
• EU passport required, with the ability to travel to the Nordics weekly.
