Research Ireland is seeking a Programme Manager to lead major societal research initiatives and coordinate across the Research for Society Directorate. You will drive design, launch and governance of programmes, manage budgets and stakeholders, and mentor staff as the agency funds cross-disciplinary projects in Ireland.

The role requires strategic planning, strong consultation capabilities, and the ability to work across national and international fora.

Competenze

• Hold a NFQ Level 8 qualification in a relevant area.
• Five years’ relevant experience; minimum two years’ project/programme management.
• At least one year with direct people line management responsibility.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational activities.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders and partnerships.

Mansioni

• Lead development and management of new and existing programme calls.
• Oversee large-scale, multi-partner projects with tight deadlines.
• Manage programme reviews and documentation; conduct internal and panel reviews.
• Oversee budget management of complex programmes and events.
• Supervise direct reports and mentor junior team members.
• Engage external stakeholders, including national and international fora.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications, IT, and Strategy teams.
• Occasional travel as part of the role.
