Job summary

Royal Irish Academy, based in Dublin, seeks a Senior Programme and Communications Manager to lead the DRI’s core programme and its communications strategy. The role collaborates with staff at the DRI consortium and external partners, overseeing budgets, projects and editorial output.

The position is based at the Digital Repository of Ireland within the Royal Irish Academy, offering hybrid working arrangements and opportunities to shape digital preservation and open science communications in

Qualifications

• A degree in a discipline relevant to DRI remit (arts, humanities, social sciences, information).
• Minimum of five years’ experience in operations/project/programmes/office management.
• Proven communications experience and budget management experience.
• Experience working with distributed teams and stakeholders in research or cultural sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead DRI programme work including planning, budgeting, strategy, delivery and reporting.
• Deliver DRI communications strategy across channels with editorial oversight.
• Support governance and secretariat duties for DRI management boards and task forces.
• Coordinate with partner institutions and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Support staff onboarding/offboarding and contribute to events and activities.
