Job summary

Elis Tallaght in Dublin is recruiting a Production Supervisor for the evening shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure the production facility runs efficiently and delivers on customer requirements.

You will lead Team Leaders and production staff, plan daily activities, manage staffing and rosters, monitor performance, and coordinate with Maintenance, Dispatch and Distribution to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage people and performance in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with KPIs and basic IT tools such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead Team Leaders and production staff to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
• Plan, organise and monitor daily production activities.
• Manage staffing levels and adjust rosters based on needs.
• Monitor machine and operator performance and liaise with Maintenance.
• Record outputs and compile daily production reports.
• Coordinate workflow with Dispatch, Distribution and In-Check to meet deadlines.
• Allocate labour and ensure lines remain covered.
• Monitor attendance and payroll accuracy.
• Maintain training records and deliver refresher training.
• Support HR with investigations and performance matters.
• Maintain quality standards, audit compliance and accurate documentation.
• Promote Health & Safety standards and report safety observations.

The Role

We are recruiting a Production Supervisor for the evening shift at the Tallaght site. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production facility runs efficiently. The Production Supervisor will support the Production Manager in delivering the business and customer requirements in full and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Team Leaders and production staff to achieve daily targets and KPIs
• Plan, organise and monitor daily production activities
• Manage staffing levels and adjust rosters based on operational needs
• Monitor machine and operator performance; liaise with Maintenance where required
• Record hourly outputs and production data issue daily production reports
• Coordinate workflow with Dispatch, Distribution and In-Check to meet customer deadlines
• Allocate labour effectively and ensure production lines remain covered
• Monitor attendance, performance and weekly payroll accuracy
• Ensure training records are up to date and deliver refresher training as needed
• Support HR with investigations and performance matters when required
• Maintain quality standards, audit compliance and accurate documentation
• Promote Health & Safety standards, ensuring safe working practices and reporting of Safety Observations and Near Misses
