Job Description
The Production Supervisor (Evening Shift) is responsible for leading a team of Product Builders/General Operatives and Team Leads to achieve operational objectives in the areas of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Supply, Safety, and People. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, together with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes. The Production Supervisor drives Health & Safety, Quality, lean manufacturing, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives across their shift.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures and take responsibility for all health and safety matters within the assigned shift.
- Ensure that product is manufactured to the Quality standards required by our customers through compliance and GMP.
- Ensure employees are appropriately trained, competent in their roles, and that all training activities are accurately documented and maintained.
- Develop and implement training programmes that maximise cross-training, workforce flexibility, and operational capability while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Ensure production volume requirements are achieved On Time in Full (OTIF), within budget, and in accordance with the required production schedule mix.
- Effectively manage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, development, performance monitoring, and the implementation of appropriate performance management actions where necessary.
- Encourage open, two-way communication regarding individual, team, and company objectives through regular team meetings and daily engagement on the production floor.
- Develop operational plans in collaboration with the Production manager to ensure alignment with site objectives and the overall Operations strategy.
- Lead structured problem-solving initiatives and drive cross-functional collaboration between Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
- Promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement that supports the Quality Policy, Quality Management System, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain visual management systems to support operational performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and actively participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, and other continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification; fluent English, written and spoken.
- Strong Communication with Supervisory and Management Training, and Health & Safety excellence, Quality awareness, and a strong Customer Focus across all production operations.

Evening Shift Hours: Monday - Wednesday, 4:30pm - 2:30am Thursday, 4:30pm - 1:30am
