Viatris in Ireland (Sutton) is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a high‑volume pharmaceutical assembly and packing line. You will ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance while achieving productivity targets.

You will drive Lean improvements, coach a multi‑disciplinary team, and manage performance. The role requires flexibility for shift patterns and overtime as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science/Technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Proven people management experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-volume automated assembly and/or packaging processes; dispensing, blending and filling of dry powder is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Oversee manufacturing of the MGR011 Exhibit ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met.
• Drive Lean manufacturing improvements and 6S housekeeping across all production areas.
• Implement and monitor cGMP, SOPs, regulatory requirements (HPRA/FDA) and training for the team.
• Track KPIs (OEE, batch yield) and resolve issues to maintain production schedules.
• Lead performance management, address under-performance, and coach team members for development.

• The Production Manager is responsible for the MGR011 Exhibit from Dispensing, Blending, DCwP Fill/Seal, Device Assembly, Packing and support the manufacture and packaging of MGR011.
• The Production Manager will work across functions to ensure that products meet or exceed all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People targets.
• The Production Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the MGR011 Exhibit.
• Performs job in accordance with the EHS guidelines as well as ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), the (HPRA – Health Product Regulatory Authority) and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure effective training for all team members.
• Monitor, record, display and drive Key Performance Indicators for the Exhibit, including but not limited to; Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Manufacturing Batch RFT.
• Execute Viatris Performance Management process for your project Team including the effective completion of key milestones.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Lead to ensure that absence is noted and tackled where appropriate and that RTW meetings are completed to good effect.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Lead to recognise and reward good performance and flexibility demonstrated by team members and address any under-performance issues in a proactive manner.
• Use all of the resources available to maximum effect to meet targets, to address and resolve problems.
• Communicate effectively within the SLT and to supporting functions ensuring the appropriate prioritisation of issues and opportunities.
• Maintain a high standard of 6S and Housekeeping in all Manufacturing areas.
• Drive Improvements through use of Lean Manufacturing and OE Tools
• Complete any other duties assigned by Project Lead.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science/Technical Discipline required or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated people management experience as a Supervisor or Manager ideally within the Pharmaceutical Industry or a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
• Experience with High-Volume Automated Assembly and/or Packaging manufacturing processes as well as experience of Dispensing, Blending and Filling of Dry Powder would be an advantage.
• Experience with Dry Powder Inhalation processes is desirable.
• Metrics focused with excellent team building skills driving results through people.
• Positive attitude with strong leadership, communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to set and implement standards for manufacturing shift teams on performance, attendance, GMP standards, documentation, etc.
• Resilient with an appetite for learning and progression.
• Proven ability to manage performance and to develop team members.
• Experience in the use of methodical approaches to problem solving and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• The ability to work different shift patterns plus overtime when required is essential.
