McDermott Laboratories Limited, a division of Viatris, is seeking a Production Manager to lead the MGR011 Exhibit manufacturing, from dispensing through packaging, ensuring quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, GMP experience and the ability to manage shifts and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science/Technical Discipline required or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated people management experience as a Supervisor or Manager ideally within the Pharmaceutical Industry or a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
• Experience with High-Volume Automated Assembly and/or Packaging manufacturing processes as well as experience of Dispensing, Blending and Filling of Dry Powder would be an advantage.
• Experience with Dry Powder Inhalation processes is desirable.
• Metrics focused with excellent team building skills driving results through people.
• Positive attitude with strong leadership, communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to set and implement standards for manufacturing shift teams on performance, attendance, GMP standards, documentation, etc.
• Resilient with an appetite for learning and progression.
• Proven ability to manage performance and to develop team members.
• Experience in the use of methodical approaches to problem solving and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• The ability to work different shift patterns plus overtime when required is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the MGR011 Exhibit from Dispensing, Blending, DCwP Fill/Seal, Device Assembly, Packing and support the manufacture and packaging of MGR011.
• Work across functions to ensure products meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People targets.
• Be responsible for the delivery of the MGR011 Exhibit.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP, HPRA and FDA regulations and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure effective training for all team members.
• Monitor, record, display and drive KPIs such as OEE and Manufacturing Batch RFT.
• Collaborate with project leadership to complete milestones and manage performance.
• Address absence and other issues with the Manufacturing Lead and recognize good performance.
• Utilise resources to meet targets and resolve problems; communicate with SLT and support functions.
• Maintain 6S and housekeeping; drive Lean and OE improvements; take on other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• The Production Manager is responsible for the MGR011 Exhibit from Dispensing, Blending, DCwP Fill/Seal, Device Assembly, Packing and support the manufacture and packaging of MGR011.
• The Production Manager will work across functions to ensure that products meet or exceed all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People targets.
• The Production Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the MGR011 Exhibit.
• Performs job in accordance with the EHS guidelines as well as ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), the HPRA – Health Product Regulatory Authority and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure effective training for all team members.
• Monitor, record, display and drive key Performance Indicators for the Exhibit, including but not limited to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and Manufacturing Batch RFT.
• Execute Viatris Performance Management process for your project Team including the effective completion of key milestones.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Lead to ensure that absence is noted and tackled where appropriate and that RTW meetings are completed to good effect.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Lead to recognise and reward good performance and flexibility demonstrated by team members and address any under-performance issues in a proactive manner.
• Use all of the resources available to maximum effect to meet targets, to address and resolve problems.
• Communicate effectively within the SLT and to supporting functions ensuring the appropriate prioritisation of issues and opportunities.
• Maintain a high standard of 6S and Housekeeping in all Manufacturing areas.
• Drive improvements through use of Lean Manufacturing and OE Tools.
• Complete any other duties assigned by Project Lead.
