Job summary

McDermott Laboratories Limited Viatris is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to oversee lines, ensure GMP compliance, and drive output targets in a fast-paced facility in Ireland. You will lead the Exhibit Assembly Operators, manage MBRs, and report KPIs to the Production Manager.

The role requires Leaving Certificate or equivalent, the ability to work 24-7 shifts, and strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MES, SAP, Trackwise and Documentum is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Evidence of GMP understanding and ability to work in a GMP environment.
• Willing to work different shift patterns including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing lines efficiently to meet output targets.
• Prepare machines, run in-process testing and manage product conditions.
• Complete Manufacturing Batch Records (MBR) per SOPs and report KPIs.
• Provide leadership to Exhibit Assembly Operators and mentor staff.
• Support continuous improvement and focus on right-first-time outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing lines in an efficient manner in accordance with the relevant SOP’s to ensure required output targets are achieve. Ensure that the manufacturing equipment and area is cleaned to GMP standards prior to use Responsible for the preparatory set up of machines and equipment, product in-process testing and for product condition during processing. Complete the Manufacturing Batch Record (MBR) according to relevant SOPs. Report directly to Production Manager on all matters related to Exhibit Assembly. Responsible for a high standard of GMP and good housekeeping, and for inspection of batches that do not meet the quality standards. Adhere to all company and legislative health, safety and environmental requirements, and perform any other duties as assigned by Production Manager. Effectively use Manufacturing support software packages e.g. MES, SAP, Trackwise, Documentum etc. Contribute positively to the elimination of preventable errors Batch file reviews Co-ordination of Lineside Triages with appropriate follow up. Provide leadership to the Exhibit Assembly Operators team. Mentoring and coaching team members. Constantly look to improve the process and to learn new skills. Take and direct Tier I & II meetings to ensure team are informed and aligned to the daily targets and issues. Understand, input and report out Key metrics and KPIs for the area. Undertake development plan to suit progression in the role. Focus on right first time to achieve MBR / EBR review ready from the line and achieve the target as set out by the area manager.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role are: Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Additional qualifications an advantage. Candidates are required to be able to work different shift patterns plus overtime when required (e.g. 4 Cycle, 24-7 shift pattern). Demonstrated ability to understand and implement the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices. Demonstrated strong team-working skills. Continuous improvement mindset. Willing to learn and to continue learning. Positive, can-do attitude with demonstrated ability to have a positive impact on the shift team. Excellent time keeping skills. Strong problem solving skills. Good communication and collaboration skills.
