Job summary

Vickerstock in Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, Ireland, is seeking a Production Leader to manage a 10–15 strong production team in a food manufacturing environment.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement. You will oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and production records while collaborating with Quality, Maintenance and NPD to sustain smooth operations and respond to changing

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in food manufacturing.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of food safety HACCP principles.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/CI initiatives.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor, Team Leader or Area Leader with a background in food manufacturing? We’re recruiting for a Production Leader to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. This is a hands‑on leadership role, overseeing a team of 10‑15 operational staff and ensuring production targets, quality and food safety standards are consistently achieved.

Role

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production staff
• Ensure production schedules, targets and standards are met
• Allocate resources effectively to maintain smooth production
• Monitor performance and maintain accurate production records
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance and NPD
• Ensure HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot production issues and respond effectively to changing priorities

What we’re looking for

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within food manufacturing
• Strong people management and communication skills
• Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
• Strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced production environment

Hours 35 hours per week | Rotating 4-day week Monday‑Saturday, with rotating AM/PM shifts: AM: 5.00am - 3.15pm PM: 3.15pm - 1.00am.
