Bally Maguire Foods is seeking a night shift production supervisor for an in-person role at our facility in Ireland. You will lead a team of operatives, monitor line flow and downtime, and ensure tasks are completed to schedule and required standards.
You will enforce HACCP/FSAI requirements, maintain hygiene and allergen controls, and provide on‑the‑job training on machinery and safety practices. A strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement is essential.

Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, organise and support production operatives; allocate work and ensure tasks are completed to schedule and required standards.
Production Performance: Monitor line flow, output and downtime; address bottlenecks and take action to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
Quality & Food Safety: Ensure products meet company specifications and applicable HACCP/FSAI requirements, including hygiene, allergen management and traceability.
Health & Safety: Enforce safe working procedures and PPE requirements, complete safety checks and promptly report or address hazards and concerns.
Training & Development: Provide on-the-job training in machinery, raw material handling, food safety, quality and safe working practices.
Problem Solving: Resolve operational issues and liaise with Maintenance and other departments to minimise downtime and maintain equipment performance.
KPIs, Reporting & Improvement: Monitor performance indicators, report issues/deviations to the Production Supervisor/Manager and support waste reduction, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience: 2-3 years in production/manufacturing, preferably food; previous team leader or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Food Safety / H&S: Working knowledge of HACCP, FSAI standards, food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety requirements. Manual Handling, First Aid or Fire Safety training is advantageous.
Technical: Basic knowledge of food manufacturing machinery and processes; equipment operating or troubleshooting experience is an advantage.
Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage, motivate, and support a team of operatives. Ability to delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are focused on achieving production targets.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions to address production issues and minimise downtime.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control and food safety, ensuring that all production activities meet the required standards.
Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure that information is passed between the production team and other departments, as well as with management.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure that production targets are met within given deadlines.
Health and Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of food safety and workplace safety standards, with the ability to enforce compliance among team members.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing production demands, schedules, and tasks while maintaining high standards of work.
Shift Pattern: 11pm - 8am, 45 hours per week.
