Job summary

The Panel is seeking a Payments Product Owner in Ireland to lead the evolution of our payments products, acting as the voice of the customer and business. You will own the product backlog, shape the roadmap, and partner with engineering and external providers to deliver capabilities across real-time and cross-border payments.

You will prioritise effectively, articulate business cases to leadership, and drive agile delivery within cross-functional teams, ensuring payments ecosystems stay robust

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payments product roles (PO/PM)
• Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems and processing
• Experience with Agile practices (Scrum or Kanban) and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain payments product roadmap, aligned to business objectives
• Own and manage the product backlog, and define epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritise development based on business value, customer needs and technical dependencies
• Act as Product Owner within Agile teams, leading sprint planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives
• Drive the development of capabilities across account-to-account, real-time and cross-border payments
• Engage senior stakeholders, communicate progress, and present roadmap updates and business cases to leadership

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is transforming how it moves money, and is looking for a Payments Product Owner to help lead that change. This is a role for someone who acts as the voice of the customer and the business, and who loves turning strategy and customer needs into clear, well-run payment products.

You'll own and manage the payments product backlog, shape the roadmap, and work closely with engineering and external partners to deliver innovative payment solutions. It's a role that rewards sharp prioritisation, strong communication, and a genuine understanding of payment ecosystems, emerging technology and market trends.

Responsibilities include:

1. Develop and maintain the payments product roadmap, aligned to business objectives
2. Own and manage the product backlog, and define epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
3. Prioritise development based on business value, customer needs and technical dependencies

Requirements include:

• 5+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or in a payments product role
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and payment processing
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with cross-functional technology teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
