Job summary

Realtime Recruitment is seeking an experienced Chief Product Officer to lead a high-growth technology business operating at the intersection of payments, cybersecurity, risk and AI. You will own the product vision and strategy, shaping the company’s next phase of growth.

Working closely with the CEO, Engineering, Technology, Commercial teams and customers, you will define the product roadmap, identify opportunities and ensure the platform delivers strong customer and business value.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the product vision, strategy and roadmap, aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
• Lead and develop the product function, establishing the processes and ways of working required to scale.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Technology, Sales and Commercial teams to drive product development and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and translate challenges into opportunities.
• Identify opportunities across payments, cybersecurity, risk, compliance and AI to enhance the offering.
• Work with engineering to ensure technology supports the product strategy at scale.
• Drive product discovery, prioritisation, development and go-to-market activity.
• Leverage data, AI and automation to improve the product and create new opportunities.
• Establish product KPIs and metrics to measure adoption, customer value and commercial performance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief Product Officer to join a high-growth technology business operating at the intersection of payments, cybersecurity, risk and AI.

This is a key leadership role for a commercially minded, technically capable product leader who will own the product vision and strategy and play a significant role in shaping the company’s next phase of growth.

Working closely with the CEO, Engineering, Technology, Commercial teams and customers, you will define the product roadmap, identify new opportunities and ensure the platform continues to deliver strong customer and business value.

The role will suit someone with a strong startup/scale-up mentality who is comfortable operating in an evolving environment, building structure where needed and combining strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the product vision, strategy and roadmap, aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
• Lead and develop the product function, establishing the processes and ways of working required to scale.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Technology, Sales and Commercial teams to drive product development and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and act as a senior product voice, translating customer challenges into product opportunities.
• Identify opportunities across payments, cybersecurity, risk, compliance and AI to enhance and expand the product offering.
• Work closely with engineering and technology teams to ensure the product strategy is supported by scalable and robust technology.
• Drive product discovery, prioritisation, development and go‑to‑market activity.
• Leverage data, AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve the product and create new opportunities.
• Establish product KPIs and metrics to measure adoption, customer value and commercial performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior product leadership role, ideally within fintech, payments, cybersecurity, risk or SaaS.
• Strong payments experience is essential.
• Experience or exposure to cybersecurity, risk, compliance and AI would be highly advantageous.
• Technically minded, with the ability to work credibly with engineering and technology teams.
• Proven track record of developing and executing product strategy and roadmaps.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent client‑facing and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within a startup, scale‑up or high‑growth technology environment.
• Entrepreneurial and hands‑on, comfortable operating with ambiguity and creating structure where required.
