Job summary

Mason Alexander is seeking two experienced Procurement Associates / Senior Associates to join our client’s Projects, Infrastructure and Energy group in Ireland. The role focuses on advising on Irish and EU procurement law for public and utility sector clients, and supporting high-value projects across energy, housing, transport and health.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years' PQE with experience in procurement law, strong client-facing skills, and a proactive approach to legal developments

Qualifications

• 3-6 years' PQE with experience advising on Irish and EU procurement law.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills; good work ethic, energy and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Advising public and utility sector clients on all aspects of EU and Irish procurement law and national guidelines
• Supporting clients on strategic and high value projects in sectors including energy, housing, transport and health
• Drafting and advising on complex procurement documentation and guiding clients through procurement processes, advising on evaluation methodologies, clarifications, debriefing and contract modifications
• Advising on contract drafting and negotiation
• Advising on Foreign Subsidies Regulation
• Advising private sector tenderers on bidding for public projects and contracts
• Advising clients (public and private) on procurement remedies and legal challenges before the Courts
• Delivering client training; and
• Keeping up to date with legal developments in the procurement sphere and contributing to knowledge sharing and business development.
