Job summary

Gardiner & Theobald LLP in Ireland is seeking a Procurement Associate to lead strategic procurement and contract delivery across major projects within our Infrastructure team. You will mentor junior staff, shape procurement strategies, support bids, and build client relationships while ensuring compliant processes and high-value commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
• Full MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience leading procurement strategy, complex sourcing, and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of UK public procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy development and commercial delivery on major projects and frameworks.
• Provide senior commercial advice to clients—navigating complex decisions, regulatory requirements and risk trade-offs.
• Design and oversee compliant procurement processes aligned with client goals, policy frameworks, and legislation.
• Advise on contract structuring, drafting and negotiation across NEC, JCT, bespoke forms.
• Shape market positioning and innovative sourcing strategies, including early supplier engagement.
