Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks a Process Technician II for our Clonmel site on a Permanent basis. The role focuses on maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment performance through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, with independent troubleshooting and strict adherence to GMP and safety standards.

You will document activities, manage work orders in CMMS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 6 STEM higher certificate/Trade Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• SMT experience is a requirement.
• Experience using CMMS or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to support safe and reliable production operations.
• Independently diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults.
• Complete maintenance activities and documentation in accordance with site procedures, GMP requirements, and engineering standards.
• Accurately maintain maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS to support regulatory and audit requirements.
• Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failures.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires independent troubleshooting of equipment issues, adherence to safety and quality standards, accurate maintenance documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
