Job summary

Boston Scientific in Cork is seeking a Production Supervisor (Evenings) on a permanent basis to lead and support manufacturing and quality engineering activities. You will work on process improvement, defect control, data analysis and operator training to ensure high-quality products for patients and customers.

Ideal candidates hold an Honors Bachelor Degree in engineering or science, with recent graduation or current final-year status, and any relevant co‑op experience.

Qualifications

  • Honors Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in engineering or science.
  • Ideally graduated within the past two years or currently in the final year.
  • Relevant work experience or completion of a co‑op program.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and help control manufacturing process defects, including scrap, nonconforming material and customer complaints, by participating in teams focused on root cause identification and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Query and bound data to support the implementation of complex changes and document release criteria, as required.
  • Lead process improvement efforts by identifying methods to capture quality metrics and performing appropriate analyses to support sustaining product design and new product development.
  • Support the creation of quality tools and training materials by understanding the limitations of existing resources and helping identify more effective solutions.
  • Support manufacturing by training operators on processes and engineering changes and conducting operator certification, on-the-job training and testing.
  • Build knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Develop process improvement skills by supporting Engineering in researching and validating changes to processes, equipment and test methods to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time in accordance with established procedures.

Job Purpose:
