Job summary

GxP Recruitment is seeking a Process Technician for a medical device manufacturing environment in Galway. The role requires collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes, including PLC programming and electronic interfacing.

The candidate should have a HETAC Level 6 qualification and at least two years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with medical device manufacturing exposure. Strong teamwork and initiative are essential.

Job description

The Process Technician will be part of core team to respond to equipment, yield and process related issues, implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances.

Shifts:

Evenings: 14:30 – 22:30 - Mon-Fri

Nights: 22:30 – 06:30 - Sat - Tues

Within this role you will:

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Work on Electronic troubleshooting, PLC, programming, electronic hardware interfacing.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimize downtime.
• Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
• Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing etc.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and production equipment, changes and improvements.
• Interface with a variety of BSIL personnel with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
• Communicate any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.

What we need from you:

• HETAC Level 6 qualification in a relevant area with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
