Job summary

Abbott Ireland Diagnostic Division – Longford is recruiting a Process Engineering Technician to join our team. You will be hands-on with plant, utilities and equipment, supporting critical FUE processes and maintaining high safety standards.

Role requires a relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of three years’ experience in a regulated environment. A pre-employment medical is required.

Qualifications

• A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or related technical discipline, with at least 3 years of similar role experience.
• Experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of critical plant, utilities and equipment.
• Coordinate external contractors for maintenance services.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process systems to ensure uptime.
• Oversee daily CIP (Clean‑in‑Place) processes and related equipment.
• Support energy management initiatives and cost reduction.
