Job summary

Abbott in Ireland, Fermoy, Cork, is seeking a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving production equipment maintenance systems, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams, driving continuous improvement, supporting non-conformance investigations, and promoting a safe, efficient working environment. Standard shift; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification or trade certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the day-to-day demand and preventative maintenance system for on-site production equipment.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and support the identification and implementation of process improvements.
• Conduct and support Non-Conformance Assessments within Operations, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant products.
• Support equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to 6S standards and promote a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable corporate, divisional, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational performance, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness.
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting activities as required.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
