Qualifications

  • Preferred: 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing; regulated industry experience; knowledge of PM systems and continuous improvement.

Purpose of the Role

The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the administration and continuous improvement of production equipment maintenance systems, monitoring production performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.

This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes, supporting non-conformance investigations, and driving a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

This role will be based at our TPM in Fermoy, Cork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the day-to-day demand and preventative maintenance system for on-site production equipment.

  • Monitor manufacturing performance and support the identification and implementation of process improvements.

  • Conduct and support Non-Conformance Assessments within Operations, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant products.

  • Support equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency initiatives.

  • Ensure adherence to 6S standards and promote a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable corporate, divisional, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational performance, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness.

  • Support investigations, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting activities as required.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
  • Third-level qualification or trade certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred
  • Minimum of three years' experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or healthcare manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and manufacturing process controls.

  • Familiarity with quality systems, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
