Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Ireland. The role focuses on administering and improving maintenance systems, monitoring production performance, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The position involves collaboration with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to deliver safe, effective, and compliant products. Based at TPM in Fermoy, Cork, it emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Essential: engineering or related technical discipline; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred: 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing; regulated industry experience; knowledge of PM systems and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day demand and preventative maintenance system for on-site equipment.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and identify process improvements.
• Support non-conformance assessments and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant products.
• Support equipment reliability, uptime and production efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and quality.
• Assist investigations, root cause analysis and process troubleshooting.
