Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting for a portfolio of private equity and debt funds.
• Handle LP/investor capital calls, distributions, investor reports and capital statements.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders through understanding contractual and service agreements.
• Ensure control framework execution through checklists and collaboration with Internal Audit.
• Contribute to design and implementation of solutions to reduce manual processes and risk.
• Escalate successes and issues to Senior Management in a timely manner.

Job Summary:

As an Analyst inJ.P. Morgan, you will operate in a client centric & end to end model. You will grow in your role to have full ownership of all aspects of fund administration including but not limited to client services, financial reporting, investor relations, and capital event servicing. If you want to develop the skills to work on a private markets fund in its entirety, then this may be the role for you! A routine day could have an AVP balancing deal funding processes while managing an audit as well as investor queries simultaneously. This brings a great level of dynamism to the role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with a team to Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting functions for a portfolio of closed ended and semi closed ended private equity and debt funds.

• Responsible for LP / investors’ capital calls, distributions, investor financial reports and capital statements.

• Building strong and meaningful relationships with Client stakeholders through a keen understanding of contractual and service delivery agreements with a dedication to excellent execution against agreed deliveries.

• Successful execution of the function’s control frameworks through high quality execution of checklists and procedure production, successful partnerships with Business Control functions as well as Internal audits.

• Bringing a voice and input to the design, build and implementation of solutions to eliminate manual processes and reduce risk.

• Responsible for the timely escalation of both successes and issues to Senior Management.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements

• A proactive attitude demonstrating the a ability to multi-task and work to tight reporting deadlines. Organisation and planning skills are key to the role.
• Dedicated to doing the right thing showing ownership and accountability.
• Demonstrates the willingness and drive to develop to a position of owning the full end to end servicing of a fund or client relationship.
• Data literate, understanding the importance of the data chain in private market structures and skilled in governing its upkeep. Demonstrable willingness to develop skills across new processes leveraging AI tools and Alteryx models in conjunction with a controls mindset.
• Ability to understand complex legal documentation and execute process environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• FIS Investran or Arcesium or equivalent double entry accounting platform knowledge an advantage.
• Prior experience in Private Equity fund administration or alternatives funds industry preferred but not essential, though a base knowledge of the industry is required to be considered.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is desirable.
