Job summary

AECOM Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Streets Team in Dublin, shaping transformative transport projects including Active Travel, Greenways, Bus Priority and Road schemes.

You will oversee design packages from concept to construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and apply Irish transport standards to deliver safe, people‑focused solutions while engaging clients and stakeholders throughout approvals processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in road, urban, or Active Travel infrastructure design.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage project delivery.
• Working knowledge of Irish transport standards: TII Publications, DMURS, DMRB, and Cycle Design Manual.
• Experience with statutory planning and design approvals in Ireland.
• Experience with construction stage such as site supervision is ideal.
