Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Principal Information Security Engineer to lead security for Crypto Products and Blockchain Networks, shaping architecture, driving secure design, and partnering with engineering, product and business teams to uphold the highest security standards.

The role demands senior leadership, threat modelling, risk assessments, and mentoring across a global organization. CISSP/CISM credentials are advantageous; a bachelor’s in CS/InfoSec and 10–15 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferably in computer science/information security or work experience equivalent of 10–15 years in information security disciplines.
• CISSP/CISM or industry recognised security certification an advantage.
• Experience in security engineering and secure SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Security Architecture & Strategy: Define platform level security architecture and drive long-term security strategy for Crypto Products and Solutions Blockchain Networks.
• Engineering & Delivery: Support design, testing, and implementation of complex security solutions aligned with regulatory, operational, and customer requirements; embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership & Influence: Mentor junior engineers and security practitioners; provide input into performance evaluations for team members.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with business owners, product teams, engineers, and senior leadership; translate security concepts into actionable guidance.
