Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Information Security Engineer to lead security for Crypto Products and Solutions Blockchain Networks. You will shape architecture, drive threat modelling, and guide security-by-design across high-availability blockchain services.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and influence risk-based decisions to protect Mastercard’s digital payments ecosystem globally.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferably in computer science/information security or 10–15 years in information security.
• Experience enabling business outcomes through strong technical decision making.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, PCI DSS, DORA or CRI frameworks is beneficial.
• Ability to translate security concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define platform security architecture and drive long-term security strategy for Crypto Products and Solutions Blockchain Networks.
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments, and security design reviews for high velocity, high availability systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and security practitioners across blockchain programs.
• Partner with engineering to embed security into CI/CD pipelines, APIs, cloud services, and blockchain components.
• Build strong relationships with business owners, product teams, and senior leaders; translate security concepts into actionable guidance.
