Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Information Security Engineer to lead security for Crypto Products and Solutions Blockchain Networks. You will shape security strategy, mentor engineers, and partner with engineering and product teams to secure blockchain platforms used in payments.

The role requires deep expertise in information security, risk management, and secure SDLC, with a track record translating complex security concepts into actionable guidance for global teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, information security or related field.
• 10–15 years of information security experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Define security architecture and long-term strategy for Crypto Products and Solutions Blockchain Networks.
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments, and design reviews for high-velocity systems.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and security practitioners.
• Partner with engineering to embed security into CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and cloud services.
