Job summary

Pipedrive is seeking a Principal AI/ML Scientist & Engineer to lead a growing team of Applied Scientists and AI/ML Engineers. You will steer the technical strategy for AI/ML solutions that derive value from CRM data and unstructured content, designing autonomous workflows and real-time reasoning engines at scale.

You will collaborate with the AI Platform team on LLMOps, ensuring robust experimentation and deployment, while balancing deep technical work with team growth and customer impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of applied science or engineering with a broad, practical understanding of the full ML and AI lifecycle in high-scale production environments.
• Proven ability to lead and scale a technical team, mentoring senior talent and raising the technical bar.
• Deep expertise in modern AI engineering concepts with hands-on experience in agentic system orchestration, RAG architectures, and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Applied Scientists and AI/ML Engineers, fostering technical excellence and scientific rigor.
• Lead the technical strategy for AI/ML-based solutions extracting value from structured CRM data and unstructured content.
• Build AI intelligence within our AI-native CRM, including autonomous workflows and real-time reasoning engines.
• Partner with the AI Platform team to drive LLMOps and scalable deployment infrastructure.
• Shape AI engineering roadmap and set the bar for modern AI stack usage across the org.
• Balance hands-on building with delegation to grow the team's capabilities.
