Job summary

SSE PLC is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to drive pricing models, profitability analysis and forecasting within our Commercial function. You will build, improve and maintain models and dashboards, turning complex data into actionable insights for the Pricing team across procurement, margins and demand analysis.

Based in a hybrid setup with 50% of the week in either our Dublin or Belfast office, you will collaborate with IT and business teams to improve data sourcing and governance, using Excel,

Qualifications

• Strong numerical reasoning to break down complex issues and build practical solutions.
• Advanced Excel skills and Power BI experience.
• Familiarity with Python, Databricks, SQL or similar tools for large data handling.
• Strong communication to explain technical work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain pricing, profitability and forecasting models.
• Develop tools, dashboards and reports for pricing performance and trends.
• Process large volumes of customer, contract and market data into analysis-ready datasets.
• Make complex calculations, reports and models easier to understand and use.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data sourcing and governance.
