Job summary

Marks Sattin is seeking a contract Pricing Analyst to support the Pricing team across all market sectors in North Dublin. The role focuses on pricing across multiple areas, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced commercial setting.

You will analyse pricing inputs, maintain and improve pricing models, and work with stakeholders to deliver accurate, customer-focused pricing solutions across Customer Solutions.

Qualifications

• 4 years numerical or analytical work experience.
• Proficient in computer-based modelling packages and complex Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Set prices for customers using cost and market-based methods and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Products Proposition, Pricing, Trading and Finance teams to align inputs and timelines.
• Prepare the price stacks for price change analyses, including customer impact assessments.
• Analyse tariffs for profitability and handle tariff-related queries for internal and external customers.
• Reporting and competitive analysis.
• Analyse competitors offers.
• Support testing and documentation of pricing systems and processes.
• Gather business requirements and input to functional specs for pricing models and run test scripts.

Job description

This is a contract role and will support the Pricing team across all areas, it will involve working on pricing across all market sectors and requires strong analytical skills. A 6-9 month contract with an excellent organisation based in North Dublin

The successful candidate will help analyse pricing inputs, maintain and improve pricing models, support product and tariff changes, and work with stakeholders across Customer Solutions to deliver accurate, competitive and customer-focused pricing solutions.

This role is suited to someone with strong analytical skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work at pace in a busy commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills who can work effectively with key stakeholders to support accurate customer pricing. The successful candidate will:

• Working in a dynamic environment setting prices for customers in using cost and market-based pricing methodologies and forecasts.
• Work as a team in the pricing process by collaborating with the wider Strategy, Products Proposition, Pricing, Trading and Finance teams to agree the inputs to the price stack and agree timelines and delivery.
• Prepare the price stacks for the price change analysis. This involves a detailed price review and changes as required including customer impact analysis of price changes and pricing of products.
• Be competent in analysing the tariffs for profitability and be able prepare tariff related queries and enquiries for both internal and external customers.
• Reporting and Competitive Analysis.
• Analyse competitors offers
• Support testing and process documentation required in delivering the systems and processes.
• Ability to gather business requirements and input to functional specifications for pricing systems and models. Ability to define and run test scripts and validate results.

The Successful candidate will have:

• 4 years numerical or analytical work experience.
• Experienced and competent in the use of computer-based modelling packages and in the use of complex Excel spreadsheets.
• Proven track record of understanding complex issues with many influencing factors.
• Excellent numeracy, analytical skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
