Job summary

MYRICA SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. in Dublin seeks a Power BI Developer to design, build and maintain reports and dashboards that meet customer requirements.

You will transform data with Power Query and SQL, create semantic models, and ensure accuracy and performance across reports. The role includes administering Power BI Service, implementing Row-Level Security, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying current with Microsoft BI technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Power BI space.
• Experience using Power Query to architect, deploy scalable semantic models.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, window functions, and CTEs.
• Experience creating complex DAX measures.
• Experience administering Power BI Service: workspaces, refresh, gateways, RLS.
• Solid data modelling: star schema, relationships, cardinality.
• BI reporting with Power BI and MS Excel.
• Experience with large datasets and techniques like incremental refresh or DirectQuery.
• End-to-end knowledge of data warehouse architectures.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse SDLC.
• Knowledge of and practical implementation of Row Level Security.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards and deliver according to customer requirements.
• Build and optimise semantic models (star schema,relationships, calculation groups) that are reusable across reports.
• Prepare and transform data with Power Query (M) and SQL.
• Write and optimize T-SQL queries to pull data from backenddatabases (such as RedShift and Athena) into the Power BI Cube.
• Create complex but highly performant DAX measures.
• Maintain reports and ensure data being returned is accurateand relevant.
• Tune report and model performance using tools such asPerformance Analyzer, DAX Studio and Tabular Editor.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure data is represented inreports in an easy to read format.
• Continually enhance reports to add value to business units.
• Carry out PowerBI administrative tasks e.g. creating appworkspaces and access.
• Provide access rights/security administration through RowLevel Security.
• Work with different business entities to understandreporting requirements.
• Gather information required to gain a good understanding ofcustomer requirements.
• Staying current with changing technologies and designtechniques and receive training as required.
• Understands the BI components fundamental to operation of aneffective BI system.
• Promotes a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overallaccomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines.
• Willing to travel for business 2 to 3 times a year ifrequired

Skills and Experience:

• Been working in the Power BI space for at least 3 years.
• Has extensive experience using PowerQuery to architect,develop and deploy scalable Power BI Semantic models of enterprize sizing.
• Strong SQL: joins, window functions, CTEs and queryperformance basics.
• Experience creating complex but highly performant DAXmeasures.
• Experience administering Power BI Service: workspaces,refresh, gateways, row-level security and sharing.
• Solid data modelling experience: star schema, fact anddimension design, relationships and cardinality.
• Has BI reporting and dashboard experience with Power BI andMS Excel.
• Experience with large datasets and techniques such asincremental refresh, aggregations or DirectQuery/composite models.
• End to end knowledge of data warehouse architectures,approaches and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of the Data Warehouse SDLC.
• Has a good understanding of and implemented Row LevelSecurity.
• Attention to detail to ensure the delivery of accuratereports.
• Aptitude for staying aware and up to date of changes to theMicrosoft BI technology stack.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate(PL-300) (Good to have)
