Job summary

Elevate Partners is seeking a PMO Specialist to support a diverse and strategically important portfolio of projects, acting as a centre of excellence for PMO delivery and governance. You will implement PMO frameworks, oversee planning, risk, issue and dependency management, and drive continuous improvement in delivery capability across multiple work streams.

Minimum seven years in PMO, project governance or controls is required; a third level qualification in Engineering or Project Management is

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in PMO, project governance, or delivery oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery including cost, schedule and risk management.
  • Experience on large or complex project portfolios.
  • Desirable qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, APM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve project management methodology, templates, tools and delivery standards.
  • Establish and maintain project delivery controls, including stage gates, project reviews, health checks, risk and issue management, dependency tracking and escalation processes.
  • Monitor portfolio performance across milestones, budgets, forecasts, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Prepare and support project board meetings, including agendas, actions, decisions and escalations.
  • Facilitate workshops and process mapping sessions with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead lessons learned reviews and ensure recommendations are embedded into future delivery approaches.
  • Provide guidance and constructive challenge to project teams to strengthen project governance and delivery discipline.
  • Support continuous improvement across PMO processes, reporting and governance structures.

Role overview

The PMO Specialist will act as a centre of excellence for project delivery, supporting the implementation of PMO frameworks, governance structures, and delivery standards across the portfolio. The role will provide oversight, constructive challenge, and insight to support effective decision-making and successful project delivery.

You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure strong controls are in place across planning, reporting, risk, issue and dependency management, while also helping to drive continuous improvement in delivery capability.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data and identify risks and trends.
  • Third level qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
  • Desirable Experience: professional qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, APM or equivalent
