Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is looking for a Planning Manager in Ireland, Leinster, to oversee planning activities in renewable energy projects. This role will involve managing project scheduling, monitoring performance, and mentoring planning personnel across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of planning experience in construction or engineering projects. Strong knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is required.

Job description

Our Client, One of Ireland s Majoe ENgineering COntractors with Projects Globally are now on the lookout for a Planning Mananger to work across their Renewable Energy Contracts.

The Planning Manager will lead planning activities across multiple power and renewable energy projects, ensuring effective project scheduling, monitoring, reporting and performance management. The role will also involve mentoring planners and supporting project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee project planning activities across the region.
• Review and approve schedules, histograms and project plans.
• Support bid teams with programme development and tender planning.
• Monitor project progress, performance and forecasting.
• Identify risks and provide recommendations to improve project delivery.
• Mentor and develop planning personnel.
• Audit project planning compliance and reporting standards.
• Produce regional planning reports and performance updates.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' planning experience within construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent software.
• Experience managing multiple projects and mentoring planners.
• Strong reporting, scheduling and stakeholder management skills.
