Job summary

Lumen Search is seeking an experienced Planning Manager in Dublin to lead programme strategy for major data centre, pharmaceutical and commercial projects across Ireland and Europe.

This senior role requires overseeing planning standards, performance and the growth of the planning function, with a strong emphasis on MEP interfaces and large-scale delivery. Hybrid or remote working is available, with an attractive package and long-term progression.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience within construction or technically complex project environments.
• Previous experience as Planning Manager or Senior Planner ready to progress.
• Strong track record of planning major mechanical and electrical packages.
• Experience delivering Data Centre, pharmaceutical, commercial or other large-scale technical projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 capability.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, sequencing and project interfaces.
• Experience managing programmes across multiple projects or workstreams.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to identify programme risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project programmes from pre-construction through to completion.
• Oversee planning and programme performance across multiple projects.
• Establish consistent planning standards, reporting structures and controls.
• Review and challenge project programmes to ensure they are realistic and achievable.
• Monitor progress against key milestones and identify potential risks or delays.
• Work with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Provide clear programme reporting to senior management, clients and key stakeholders.
• Support tender and pre-construction teams with programme development and delivery strategy.
• Coordinate programme requirements across mechanical, electrical and construction workstreams.
• Provide leadership and guidance to planners across the business.

Salary: €130,000 to €150,000 + Package

We are working with a leading construction business delivering major Data Centre, pharmaceutical and commercial projects across Ireland and Europe.

They are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead programme strategy and oversee the successful delivery of several technically complex projects. This is a senior appointment offering responsibility for planning standards, programme performance and the development of the wider planning function.

The position will suit an experienced Planning Manager or Senior Planner with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and a proven track record on large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
