Job summary

Mater Private Cork is seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join a growing team within the Physiotherapy Department. The post involves Orthopaedics (Inpatient), Orthopaedic/MSK outpatient, and respiratory care across a multidisciplinary hospital setting.

You will work with the Physiotherapy Manager to deliver a client-centred service, demonstrate evidence-based practice, and contribute to professional development while maintaining CORU registration and ISCP eligibility.

Qualifications

• BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
• CORU registration and ISCP membership or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience in Orthopaedics (Inpatient) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and evidence based practice in physiotherapy.
• Work with the team to deliver a client-centred physiotherapy service.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients and families.
• Plan and deliver patient-centred care and develop individual treatment plans.
• Operate within the scope of practice and adhere to professional governance.

Staff Grade Physiotherapist

We are currently recruiting for a Physiotherapist (Staff Grade) to join our team at Mater Private Cork to work with a growing team of Physiotherapists to further develop the service.

The successful candidate will work within the Physiotherapy Department and with the Hospital multidisciplinary team in providing expertise in Orthopaedics (Inpatient),Orthopaedic/MSK outpatient, Respiratory (surgical and medical) and care of the aging patient.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence based practice to carry out duties and responsibilities of the post.
• Work with the Physiotherapy Manager and colleagues to ensure the delivery of a client centred quality Physiotherapy service.
• Display effective communication and interpersonal skills with other healthcare professionals, patients and families.
• Demonstrate ability to plan and deliver patient centred care in an effective, resourceful and efficient manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional Development.
• Be responsible for client assessment, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that are in line with best practice
• Work within own scope of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct and clinical governance
• Operate within the scope of practice of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists or equivalent governing body.

Candidate Requirements

• BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
• Have CORU registration and be a member or eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Physiotherapists (ISCP)
• A minimum of 1 years post graduate experience in Physiotherapy Services: Orthopaedics (Inpatient) is essential. Orthopaedic/MSK outpatient, Respiratory (surgical and medical) and care of the aging patient is desirable.
