Job summary

Hickey's Finglas West Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a 40-hour, permanent position. You will dispense medicines under supervision, maintain stock levels, and prepare blister packs in a busy dispensary.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome, with advantages for those familiar with McLernons MPS and the IPU Pharmacy Technician course. Competitive hourly rates and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Prepare blister packs and process and track claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Hickey's Finglas West.

This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist,1 Relief Pharmacist and 5 Technicians.

This store has manageable items and services.

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.


• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.


• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.


• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.


• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.


• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).


• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
