Job summary

Unipharmedtech is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their McCauley Garahys Pharmacy in Enniscorthy. This is a 24-hour specified purpose contract position. You will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medicinal products under the supervision of the pharmacist, controlling stock levels, and preparing blister packs.

The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail and may have prior experience in a busy dispensary, although newly qualified technicians are encouraged to apply. Competitive hourly rates and several benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage.
• Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with specific pharmacy software is desirable.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Garahys Pharmacy in Enniscorthy. This is a 24-hour Specified Purpose contract position with the store's opening hours operating between 9a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. The team currently comprises an Assistant Store Manager, Managing Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 3 Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner
• Control stock levels and order medicines as determined by store requirements
• Prepare blister packs and process and track claims
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply
• Experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is an advantage
