Job summary

McCauley Garahys Pharmacy in Enniscorthy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour Fixed Term Contract. The role involves preparing and dispensing medicines under supervision, stock control, blister pack prep, and claims processing.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Garahys Pharmacy in Enniscorthy.

This is a 40- hour Fixed Term Contract position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.

The team currently comprises an Assistant Store Manager, Managing Pharmacist,1 Relief, and 3 Technicians.

The Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
