Job summary

Uniphar Group, Allcare Hughes Pharmacy in Clane, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team. This is a 24-hour permanent position with opening hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, closed on Sunday.

You will prepare and dispense medicines under supervision, manage stock, and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary. Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply, with IPU or Higher Certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage; newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
• Experience with McLernons MPS is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail and dispense medicinal products under supervision.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as required by store.
• Prepare blister packs and processing and tracking of claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare Hughes Pharmacy in Clane.

This is a 24 -hour permanent position with the store’s opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to6p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 2 Support, 1 Relief, and 5 Technicians.

The responsibilities of the role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
