Job summary

Allcare Hughes Pharmacy in Clane is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 24-hour permanent role, with store hours 9:00–18:00 Mon–Sat. You will assist in dispensing, stock control, blister packs, and claims processing under the Pharmacist's supervision in a busy dispensary.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome; IPU or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is advantageous. Competitive hourly rates and staff benefits apply.

Responsibilities

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare Hughes Pharmacy in Clane. This is a 24-hour permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 2 Support, 1 Relief, and 5 Technicians.

The responsibilities of the role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.
