Job summary

Adrian Dunne Pharmacy in Arklow is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Irish-owned, community-focused team. You will dispense and prepare prescriptions, deliver excellent customer service, and support stock control in a fast-paced dispensary.

The ideal candidate holds an approved Pharmacy Technician Qualification with 3+ years’ experience, and is fluent in English, authorized to work in Ireland. We offer flexible hours and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an approved Pharmacy Technician Qualification.
• 3+ years' experience in a Technician/Dispensary role is essential.
• Fluent English is required for customer interactions.
• Authorized to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and prepare prescriptions.
• Provide a high standard of customer service.
• Maintain stock control and ethical ordering.
• Ensure prescription control and accurate records.
• Complete end of month claims and related paperwork.
• Understand reject and reclaim books.
• Carry out dispensary housekeeping duties.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for dispensing and preparing prescriptions
• Providing a high standard in Customer Service
• Ensuring efficient stock control & ethical ordering
• Ensuring prescription control
• Completion of end of month claims
• Understanding of reject and reclaims books
• Completion of all necessary paperwork
• Dispensary house-keeping responsibilities

Skills And Experience

• Must hold an approved Pharmacy Technician Qualification
• 3+ year previous experience in a Technician/ Dispensary role essential
• In-depth product knowledge
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service
• A helpful and courteous manner
• Willing to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work alternate Saturdays, when required
