Job summary

Arcon Recruitment Services is representing a well-established community pharmacy in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a busy dispensary.

You will work closely with the Supervising Pharmacist to dispense prescriptions accurately while delivering exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will have Irish community pharmacy experience, strong dispensing knowledge, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with experience in an Irish community pharmacy.
• Experience with pharmacy dispensing procedures and HSE schemes is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Accurately label and prepare medicines for dispensing.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy dispensing software.
• Assist with monthly HSE claims and pharmacy administration.
• Maintain accurate patient medication records.
• Manage stock control, ordering and inventory.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure medicines are stored correctly.
• Assist customers with over-the-counter products and refer clinical queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy community pharmacy.
• Ensure compliance with PSI guidelines and SOPs.

Our client, a well-established community pharmacy based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their professional and customer-focused team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking to join a busy dispensary where patient care and customer service are at the heart of everything they do.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Supervising Pharmacist, assisting with the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions while providing exceptional service to customers. Experience in an Irish community pharmacy is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician qualification.
• Previous experience working in an Irish community pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy dispensing procedures and HSE schemes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using MPS or similar pharmacy dispensing software would be an advantage.
