Job summary

Allcare Pharmacy in Castletownbere is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, provide product information, and support daily pharmacy operations.

You will participate in stock control, cash handling, and merchandising while maintaining cleanliness and following health and safety procedures. The role suits someone with a year of experience in Pharmacy/Retail, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Pharmacy/Retail/Hospitality preferable
• Cashier experience is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Discretion with confidential information
• Good attention to detail essential
• Organised with ability to multi-task under pressure
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team
• Basic IT skills are an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide product information and advice to customers across all product ranges.
• Maintain stock control including rotation, stock levels and supplier details.
• Deliver professional customer service and enhance relationships with pharmacy customers.
• Work as part of the pharmacy team, be flexible and assist in all areas as required.
• Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with colleagues.
• Handle cash and receipts securely following procedures.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and safe, report health and safety issues to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Participate in training and development programmes.
• Participate in training and development programmes provided by the Pharmacy.
• Any other duties as required.
