Job summary

Premier Insurances in Thurles, Co Tipperary, seeks an enthusiastic Personal Lines broker to join our team. You will handle renewals, advise clients on cover options, and work with insurers to secure competitive premiums while growing the client base.

The role includes a 5-day week with a salary of €32,000 per annum, paid weekly, plus 22 days of annual leave, pension and a performance-based bonus structure. Examinations and ongoing study sponsorship are available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
• CPD requirements: complete 15 hours annually relevant to role.
• Minimum 2 years’ industry experience.
• APA qualification or progression towards it is expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle renewals and new business quotes for Personal Lines (car, van, home).
• Advise clients on suitable cover and cross-sell where appropriate.
• Research insurers and negotiate premiums for clients.
• Manage day-to-day Personal Lines client accounts (MTA queries, claims processing).
• Maintain client files and ensure procedures meet CPD and compliance standards.

• Compliant with CPD requirements & complete 15 formal hours of CPD each calendar year. These hours must be relevant to the specific function
• Minimum 2 years’ industry experience

The Role will include:

• Handling and processing renewals/new business quotes and managing an existing Personal Lines account (car, van and home)
• Advising clients on most suitable cover and identifying further opportunities in additional policies
• Researching insurance companies and negotiating with Insurers to obtain the most suitable/competitive premiums for our clients
• Dealing with day-to-day Personal Lines client accounts (MTA queries, claims handling, account processing)
• Salary of €32,000 per annum for a 5 day working week but can be pro-rata for a 4 day week if required and will be based on experience.
