Job summary

Ethos Care Group in Carrick-on-Suir, Ireland, Munster, seeks an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead our nursing home team and oversee delivery of compassionate, resident-centred care within HIQA standards.

You will provide strong leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, drive clinical governance and quality improvement, and foster a positive, collaborative culture with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• Active NMBI registration and current RN license.
• Experience in senior nursing/management within residential care.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Active NMBI registration as a Registered Nurse
• Significant experience in senior nursing, management, or leadership roles within residential care

• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working as a Person in Charge or Assistant Director of Nursing is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of nursing home operations, governance, and quality improvement processes
• Experience managing teams within a long-term care setting
• Ability to balance operational responsibilities with a commitment to resident wellbeing and care excellence
