Job summary

Muiriosa Foundation Ltd. is recruiting a Support Worker to help individuals with an intellectual disability realise a good life. You will lead person-centred initiatives, promote community connections, and support authentic relationships in local settings.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to work across various houses. Sleepover shifts are included, and a manual driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs.
• Willingness to undertake roster covering various houses/locations.
• Must have a valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to realise their vision for a ‘good life’ using person-centred approaches.
• Help individuals connect with their local community and develop authentic relationships.
• Provide opportunities for new experiences and personal growth.
• Support on sleepover shifts and work alone in residents’ homes as required.
