Job summary

PartnerRe Ltd. is seeking an IT Business Analyst to lead the PeopleSoft General Ledger support and enhancements, ensuring reliable reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

You will coordinate with IT, finance, consultants and developers across the globe, formalize business cases, gather requirements, perform gap analyses, and craft specifications for developers. This role emphasizes governance and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in PeopleSoft Financials.
• Postgraduate or master qualification in Finance and Accounting.
• General Ledger, Multicurrency, Consolidation, Closing, Allocations, VAT and Withholding Tax, GL workflows and integrations are essential.
• Tax provisioning, accounts payable and receivable concepts.
• Experience with implementation, testing, training and core PeopleSoft Financials modules.
• Knowledge of PeopleTools, SQR, Autosys and Job schedulers adds value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PeopleSoft General Ledger support and enhancements to ensure reliable internal and external reporting.
• Coordinate between IT, finance, consultants and developers across multiple time zones.
• Formalize business cases for new functionality and develop related specifications for developers.
• Develop and execute test scripts, provide training and support testing processes.
• Manage support processes across the globe and ensure governance of initiatives.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Investments Applications the purpose of this role is to Lead the PeopleSoft General Ledger support and enhancements to ensure reliable internal and external reporting.

About this job:

• Guide and coach the continuous improvement and evolution of the in-scope applications together with internal stakeholders and external service providers located across the globe.
• As an IT Business Analyst contributeto the management of Finance initiativesby following a governance model for reviewing, prioritizing and monitoring these initiatives.
• Coordinatebetween IT, finance, consultants and developers on all aspects of application management.
• Managevarious support processes at a distance across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Formalizebusiness cases for new functionalities or specific developments
• Conductbusiness requirements gathering, gap analysis and process re-engineering sessions
• Proposefunctional solutions andbuildrelated specifications for developers
• Develop& and executetest scripts, providetrainingand supporttesting processes

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years’ experience in PeopleSoft Financials
• Post graduate or master qualification in Finance and Accounting with strong interest in Information systems or in Information systems with strong interest in Finance and Accounting
• General Ledger, Multicurrency, Consolidation, Closing, Allocations, Journal entry processing, VAT and Withholding Tax, Trees & Queries, GL Workflow, GL integrations a must
• Tax provisioning, account payables and receivable key concepts
• Implementation, testing, training and high problem-solving experience with the core PeopleSoft Financials modules
• Enterprise application, interfaces, SQL for problem-solving and analysis
• Notions of Nvision, Business Object, Power BI a plus.
• Some knowledge of PeopleTools suite, PeopleSoft Security Administration, SQR, Autosys & Job scheduler type of tools.
• Understanding of lifecycle management including managing multiple deliverables with overlapping priorities and deadlines. Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work.
• Experience with systems integration, technical interfaces, and analytics.
• Ability to own tasks, prioritize work, multi-task, and work independently with remote supervision
• Ability to participate in several international projects in parallel
