Job summary

The Irish Red Cross is seeking a Peer Migrant Health Worker in Dublin to support migrants in navigating health services and understanding available pathways. • Qualification in peer support or a relevant discipline.
• Ability to work with migrant communities.
• Good communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support, information and advocacy to migrant groups to access health and community services.
• Support navigation of health services and pathways, within defined boundaries.
• Assist with Medical Card forms and GP appointments as needed.
• Build links between migrant communities and health services and support networks.
• Participate in training sessions and supervision.
• Record participants and assist in organising programme activities.
