Job summary

A growing company based in Killarney is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join the finance team. In this key role, you will hold primary responsibility for processing the weekly payroll across group companies while providing vital support to the broader accounts function.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll from start to finish, ensuring strict accuracy and compliance with Irish employment and tax regulations.
• Maintain precise employee records, timesheets, and tracking for annual leave and sick leave.
• Prepare and submit all required payroll returns directly via Revenue Online Service (ROS).
• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving staff payroll queries promptly and confidentially.

Accounts & Administration Support:

• Support the Accounts Payable function, including high-volume invoice processing, supplier payments, and vendor query resolution.
• Perform routine reconciliations across bank accounts, payroll reports, and general ledger postings.
• Assist the finance team with month-end close, year-end reporting, and audit preparation.
• Ensure accurate physical and digital filing for reporting and compliance purposes.

Key Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience in Irish payroll processing alongside general accounts administration.
• In-depth knowledge of current Irish payroll legislation and ROS.
• Proficiency in standard payroll software.
