Job summary

C&D Foods in Edgeworthstown is seeking a highly organised Payroll Officer to join the Finance team. You will handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensure compliance with Revenue guidelines, maintain payroll records, respond to employee queries and prepare payroll reports.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work with Payroll, Finance, and HR to deliver accurate payroll within deadlines, while protecting confidentiality and handling data securely.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years payroll experience desirable.
• Experience working with Sage Payroll Software desirable.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
• Prepare payroll analysis reports.
• Ensure payroll data is entered accurately including new hires, terminations, tax changes and other payroll information.
• Respond to employees' payroll enquiries.
• Issuing pay slips, payroll taxation, and related documentation.
• Filing monthly returns with Revenue to ensure employer obligations are met.
• Handling holiday and sick pay calculations and queries.
• Updating joiners/leavers on payroll and liaising with agencies for temporary staff.

At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown we are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Officer will work within a team and will share responsibility of end-to-end processing of the payroll function.

Role Overview

The Payroll Officer is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with Revenue regulations and company policies. The role involves maintaining payroll records, processing payroll changes, preparing reports, responding to employee queries, and managing payroll-related documentation. Working closely with the Payroll, Finance, and HR teams, the Payroll Officer ensures payroll is delivered accurately, confidentially, and within strict deadlines while providing excellent support to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
• Prepare payroll analysis reports.
• Ensure all payroll data is entered accurately and in a timely manner including new hires, terminations, tax changes and other payroll related information.
• Respond to employee's payroll enquiries.

• Filing monthly returns with Revenue to ensure that all employer obligations are managed in accordance with Revenue guidelines via ROS.
• Calculating holiday and sick pay and dealing with any queries regarding same.
• Updating new joiners/leavers on payroll.
• Liaising with Employment agencies on a weekly basis in relation to temporary staff to include weekly hours, holidays and sick pay.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
